High School Debate and Forensics

Tuesday, September 15th
9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

It's time, again, for the Annual High School Debate Exhibitions at the Kansas State Fair, sponsored by Sterling College. The debates will be held Tuesday, September 9 at Hansen Auditorium in the Encampment Building. Debate demonstrations will begin at 9:00 A.M., exhibitions will continue throughout the day at 11:00 AM, and 1:00 PM. This is not a tournament, but an exhibition by several debate teams debating the current topics in conjunction with the Kansas State High School Activities Association. All schools are welcome to come and watch the showcase. You can register your class through the Kansas Largest Classroom program to receive discounted gate tickets.

Thursday, September 17th
9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Kansas High School Forensics Champion Showcase. The showcase will be held Thursday, September 11 at Hansen Auditorium in the Encampment Building. The first showcase will begin at 9:30am, with a second exhibition at noon. This is not a tournament, but a showcase of several Forensics State Individual Event Champions from the Spring 2025 Kansas State High School Activities Association Championship Competitions. Champions from the various Forensics (speech and interpretation) events will be featured. All schools are welcome to come and watch the exhibition. You can register your class through the Kansas Largest Classroom program to receive discounted gate tickets.
