From rural Kansas to the Kansas City music scene, Katie Ziegler writes songs that capture real stories, honest emotion, and the beauty of chasing dreams.
Katie Ziegler is an independent singer-songwriter based in the Kansas City metro area whose sound reflects both her small-town Kansas upbringing and a determined modern artistic drive. Raised in a musical family, she began writing songs at age 11 and picked up the guitar at 16 — the start of a lifelong passion for storytelling through music.
In 2022, Katie released her debut single, He Ain’t Yours, followed by her first EP, Residue. Since then, she has continued building momentum as both a songwriter and live performer.
Her growing performance résumé includes opening for nationally recognized artists including The Bellamy Brothers, Eli Young Band, Billy Dean, Twitty & Lynn, Jerrod Niemann, Cody Canada and The Departed, and Logan Mize.
Katie’s musical journey began with hometown talent shows and continued when she opened for The McClymonts at just 17 years old. She later recorded music with Emmy-winning producer/engineer Carter Green in Wellington, Kansas.

“I’ve been writing songs since I was 11, and picking up the guitar at 16 was like unlocking a new language. I’m still chasing the moment when a song I wrote in my small town connects with someone on the other side of the world.”
